Aerial Hoop Workshops

Lucy teaches monthly Aerial Hoop workshops at Out Of The Blue Arts Centre, Edinburgh. Courses are normally 6 hours long and run over Saturday & Sunday afternoons, 3 hours per day.

The majority of Lucy's aerial hoop vocabulary is self devised, this begun with a year of mentored research in the final year of her Circus Arts Diploma at Rogelio Rivel circus school Barcelona 2006-2007. She continues to investigate the possibilities of aerial hoop and to share her discoveries. A range of technique is taught, positions, transitions and use of momentum, built into fluid choreographies. Material is pitched at a general level with advanced students catered for within the class. A minimum of 6 months regular attendance of static aerial classes is required (ie. trapeze, silks or rope) before signing up.
